Harris will play Ptonomy, described by THR as an “outsider by nature, stand-offish and sardonic who is a former child prodigy who feels trapped in the past.”
Harris is a Julliard graduate currently appearing on Baz Luhrmann’s Netflix series The Get Down. He joins lead actor Dan Stevens and supporting cast Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, and Rachel Keller in the Noah Hawley developed show.
The Legion pilot introduces David Haller (Stevens), a mutant with incredible power and a mental illness. He has developed multiple personalities, each one corresponding to one of his special abilities. After struggling to silence the voices in his head for years, a meeting with a special patient forces him to confront the idea that those voices might be real.
Haller first appeared in New Mutants #25 in 1985 as the son of Professor X, though FX hasn’t confirmed that relationship as part of the TV adaptation.
Production on Legion begins in March.
