Marvel Announces Legacy And Brand New Avengers Team

Many associate names like Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man with the origins of the Avengers, but that will all change after Marvel Legacy #1.

The anticipated event will restructure the early days of the Marvel Universe, including a brand new Avengers team from the year 1,000,000 BC that includes names like Odin, Iron Fist, Star Brand, Phoenix, Black Panther, Agamotto, and Ghost Rider.

The book will be helmed by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic and as SVP and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort explains, is not just a glimpse into the universe’s past.

“MARVEL LEGACY #1 isn’t simply a history lesson. Rather, it’s the starting gun to a bevy of mysteries and secrets and revelations that will reverberate across the Marvel Universe in the weeks and months to come! The 50-page issue will also be a jumping on point for fans, and Marvel Editor in Chief Axel Alonso promises big things coming out of the upcoming story.
