Is Julie’s dogged determination to be normal a lost cause? Who’s going to watch the coffee shop while our heroes are out saving the world?? Russ Burlingame: KFC #3 Across The Universe

The team up of the century is happening in KFCย #3: Across the Universe when Green Lantern and Colonel Sanders undertake a quest to recover the treasured Chicken Zingers.

It’s not a power battery mind you, but the Colonel’s Chicken is probably more appreciated than the Green Lantern Corps, and is possibly even a matter of global security. It makes sense that the Green Lanterns would get involved.

KFCย #3 Across The Universe is written by Tony Bedardย with art by Tom Derenick, Trevor Scott, and Sean Parsons, with a cover by Tom Grummettย and Trevor Scott. You can find the description of the issue below.

In KFC #3 ACROSS THE UNIVERSE the Colonel goes cosmic in a star-spanning quest to bring crunchy, spicy satisfaction to a hungry universe, only to face a “thieving varmint” who steals his space-bound Zinger chicken sandwiches. Who else but DC’s Green Lantern can help the Colonel scan the universe to catch the thief?! KFC #3’s creative team includes writer Tony Bedard, penciler Tom Derenick, inkers Trevor Scott and Sean Parsons, with a cover by Tom Grummett and Trevor Scott.

Jamie Lovett: Astonishing X-Men #1

When the most powerful minds of mutantkindย are rendered helpless, it’s time to assemble a team that doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty. Enter the Astonishing X-Men.

Fan favorites like Gambit, Rogue, Bishop, Archangel, Fantomex, Psylocke, and Old Man Logan are the only ones capable of stopping the threat. Unfortunately, they’re up against one of the team’s deadliest enemies, and they’re already starting out frustratingly behind.

Astonishing X-Men #1 is written by Charles Souleย with art by Jim Cheungย The official description can be found below.

J.K. Scmidt: Shaolin Cowboy #4

The adventures of the Shaolinย Cowboy have been building to this epic conclusion, pitting the skilled fighter with a horde of kamikaze zombies.ย

If you’ve enjoyed the series thus far, the finale promises to deliver an action packed issue that will send off the series in style.

Shaolinย Cowboy #4 is written and drawn by Geofย Darrow. You can find the official description below.

It is high doom in the low desert, as the Shaolin Cowboy tries to turn the tide on a dead sea of kamikaze zombies and learns that the devil you know may be easier to deal with than the devil you don’t. Thirty-one pages of fists and feet versus rotting flesh. It’s not J. D. Salinger’s Catcher in the Die.

From multiple Eisner winner Geof Darrow (Hard Boiled, The Big Guy and Rusty)!

The blood-rushing conclusion!

So much action, you’ll get an adrenaline contact high!

Don’t miss Darrow each month in Dark Horse Presents!

Batman might ultimately be able to stop the war, but Gothamย might not be much to look at after the dust settles.

Batman #27 is written by Tom King with art by Davideย Gianfeliceย and a variant cover by Tim Sale. The official description is located below.

“THE WAR OF JOKES AND RIDDLES” part three! The war has spread to every corner of Gotham City, and while Batman battles back the forces of Joker and Riddler, an unlikely criminal becomes the pivotal key to its potential resolutionโ€ฆbut it could cost him everything.
