Youngblood #1 Rob Liefeld, Chris Daughtry Covers Revealed

Youngblood is back and ComicBook.com has your first look at the variant covers accompanying Youngblood #1 when it hits comic book store shelves in May.

YOUNGBLOOD REBORN! Arriving May 3rd, Youngblood #1, the book that launched the Image Comics Revolution hits stores with four striking covers by, series artist Jim Towe, David Finch (BATMAN) Youngblood and Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld and rock star Chris Daughtry!

“I met Chris several years back and was as in awe of his comic book knowledge and awareness as I was his powerful vocals and chart-topping music!” Liefeld says of Daughtry. “I told him last summer that I was re-launching Youngblood and he immediately responded with ‘I gotta do a cover man!’ Chris is a really talented penciler and it was a joy to ink over his illustration for this cover!

Youngblood was originally created by Rob Liefeld in 1992. Youngblood #1 was the first comic book ever published by Image Comics. The superhero team’s rosters has included such characters as Shaft, Badrock, Photon, Vogue, Cougar, Chapel, Masada, Troll, and Knightsabre.

Debuting 25 years after the original Youngblood #1, the new Youngblood #1. Liefeld has turned writing duties on the new series over to Bowers, who is also working with Liefeld on the Deadpool graphic novel Deadpool: Bad Blood.
