Winnick currently plays the legendary role of Lagertha, a well-known figure in Viking history.
During a recent fan Q&A session on Twitter a fan asked if she would be down if DC Films ever made a Green Arrow movie.

As far as we know DC Films does not have any immediate plans for a Green Arrow standalone movie, however after the huge success of Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie signed an exclusive, first-look deal with Warner Bros.
At first we thought Margot Robbie’s spinoff movie would be Harley Quinn centric, but as it turns out she is more interested in adapting the popular lady gang comic book Birds Of Prey.
With the current landscape of superhero films pushing for more diversity and female-led projects, Birds of Prey / Harley Quinn is going to happen.
According to THR, “Sources say that Robbie was the impetus for the project, adding that when she got the part for the movie, she dove deep into the comics to learn as much as possible about the character. In the process, she fell for DC’s female characters. She brought on the writer to help develop the project and brought it to Warners, which snapped it up.”
The Birds of Prey are a group of female heroes headed by Oracle. Though the team’s roster tends to rotate, the mainstays of the group have been Oracle, Black Canary, and Huntress.
Point being if Katheryn Winnick really wants to be the movie version of Black Canary, she could most likely snag the role in Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey / Harley Quinn spinoff.
While nothing is set in stone yet, we do know that papers have been signed and Robbie is developing a WB film with production credit and a writer has been tapped to pen the script.
Oh, and we’d LOVE to see Birds of Prey and, of course, more of Harley Quinn on the big screen.
