When it comes to the DC Extended Universe, fans seem to be stuck in flux. The franchise has churned out a string of misfires, but Wonder Woman turned the tide this year with its debut. With Justice League set to premiere this fall, fans have been left to wonder when The Flash will get his standalone debut. However, it looks like audiences have a bit more waiting to endure.
News broke last month that Warner Bros. set aside two new premiere dates for the DCEU. February and June 2020 will usher a pair of yet-announced DC adaptations into theaters theaters, and it seems as if one of the dates will likely belong to The Flash standalone.

A recent article by Forbes suggests Warner Bros. is aiming to release Flashpoint in 2020. Reporter Mark Hughes writes that Wonder Woman is expected to appear in the film which is “currently scheduled to release in 2020.”
Of course, Warner Bros. has yet to confirm any expected premiere date for Flashpoint as of yet. The studio will likely keep mum on the issue until Justice League debuts in order to ensure the flick lives up to expectations. If the ensemble feature flops, Warner Bros. and DC Films will have to go back to the drawing board with their DCEU plans.
Still, fans do have an idea of which date Flashpoint will snag in 2020. Rumors have suggested Suicide Squad 2 is eyeing a February 2020 release, so The Flash would be left to helm the studio’s summer premiere slot.
There is no word on whether the DCEU will try to roll out its previously slated 2020 projects as both Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps were intended to debut that year. It seems like the DCEU will be forced to shift its movie slate down to ensure each film is up to snuff.
So, if you have been looking forward to Barry Allen’s DCEU debut, then you better cherish his time in Justice League. It doesn’t look like the hero will be around much after this team-centric outing.

Simmons (Commissioner Gordon), Amber Heard (Mera), Kiersey Clemons (Iris West) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor).
Wonder Woman is in theaters now, and will be followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
