It was just revealed that the series star, Melissa Benoist, has won the Choice Action TV Actress award at the Teen Choice Awards ceremony. Benoist was surprised with the award while presenting with The Flash‘s Grant Gustin.
Supergirl was also nominated for Choice Action TV Show, while Season 2 fan-favorite Chris Wood scored a nom for Choice Action TV Actor. The season’s big bad, Teri Hatcher, was also up for Choice TV Villain. The pairing of Kara and Mon-El scored noms for Choice TV Ship and Choice Liplock.
Ridding National City of Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army was a major win for Supergirl, but one that came at a significant cost, as Kara was forced to sacrifice her budding relationship with Mon-El. When season three returns with all-new supercharged adventures this fall on The CW, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.
Supergirl premieres Monday, October 9th, at 8/7c, on The CW.
