The Justice League trailer packed a lot into just two minutes and 32 seconds and delivered an action-packed affair that did what it promised and brought together DC icons like Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman.
Warner Bros. also kept with it's revised theme of well-placed humor, building off the positive response the first footage shown at San Diego Comic-Con last year. There were plenty of fantastic one-liners, along with some excellent chemistry between Aquaman and Batman.
While the entire trailer is noteworthy, there are a few moments that stand above the rest, so hit the next slide to see ComicBook.com's top five moments from the Justice League trailer. Justice League currently enjoys a 4.06 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings.
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg.
DC and Warner Bros. have a full slate ahead, with Teen Titans: The Judas Contract coming first on April 4, 2017. After that it's time for Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017. The Batman is expected sometime in 2018, with The Flash debuting on March 23, 2018. Aquaman is set for October 5, 2018, and Nightwing's solo feature is due sometime in 2019.
Fans didn't know much about Aquaman going into the newest trailer, but they knew even less about Cyborg. Warner Bros. and DC addressed that big time in the newest footage, which features Ray Fisher's hero extensively as he displays his impressive arsenal.
He defends someone from an incoming truck, blasts a Parademon with his sonic cannon, and armors up about midway through, giving a close-up look at his snazzy helmet. While Aquaman is undoubtedly the MVP here, Cyborg comes in a close second.prevnext
Aquaman Versus Parademons
Speaking of Aquaman, the King of Atlantis made a big impression here, including a fantastic scene that saw him launch in the air and throw his trident through, yes through, several flying Parademons. Oh, and he was airborne the entire time.
Seriously, if he could drop a mic right after it would've been perfect.prevnext
This Batman is a bit on the lighter side, and while Ben Affleck still isn't exactly talkative, he delivers a few perfect lines. That includes this one after The Flash (Ezra Miller) asks him what his superpower is. Batman's response?
A meme-worthy response to be sure.prevnext
While this line isn't as good as the previous line, it's more notable to what he does after he says it. The sequence involves him swinging into his newest creation, tantamount to a Bat-Crawler. The vehicle is massive, and not only that it can also climb up walls and features a massive amount of artillery. Perfect for turning Parademons into dust.prevnext
Aquaman Riding Shotgun On The Batmobile0comments
Did the Justice League just create their new version of a Fastball Special? Marvel fans will know that as when Colossus picks up Wolverine and chucks him at enemies, and it seems Aquaman and Batman have their own version of that.
Granted, this version includes Batman giving Aquaman a ride atop of the Batmobile, but the premise is the same, and the chemistry these two have on screen is just fantastic. Really can't wait for more.prev
