Despite bringing in over $864 million worldwide, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice still hasn’t achieved what many believed it could have if the movie had been received better by critics and general audiences alike.

Frustration hasn’t just set in on viewers, however, as Batman Actor Ben Affleck is reportedly pretty peeved about the situation as a whole. BirthMoviesDeath’s Devin Faraci shared this tidbit from personal sources.
“My sources have told me that Affleck was incredibly unhappy about the reception of BvS. He felt humiliated after spending so much of the press tour saying how much better this film would be than Daredevil. On top of that his agent was furious when Kevin Tsujihara jumped the gun and announced him as the director of The Batman – there were still negotiations happening.
This move seems to help placate Affleck while also edging Zack Snyder out of a controlling central position in the DC Movieverse.”
I get it. BVS was supposed to be a slam dunk, and while still incredibly successful monetarily and in setting up DC’s film universe, it still didn’t go over as well as Affleck would have hoped. Having him included creatively in Justice League will go a long way to making sure that the film is not a repeat of this one.
