Being candid, Oliver explains to his arch-nemesis, “I need your help. There is a man here named Adrian Chase. He’s holding my friends and my family hostage.”
After Slade agrees to his offer, Oliver unzips a duffel bag containing Deathstroke’s costume and weapons. While holding his iconic black-and-orange mask and drinking in the nostalgia, Deathstroke says to Oliver, “You and me, kid. Like old times.”
However, Deathstroke isn’t the only dangerous ally that Oliver has recruited to help him take down Adrian Chase once and for all. Digger Harkness (a.k.a. Captain Boomerag) makes his return! And as we see him stomping through the forest alongside Deathstroke and Oliver, he complains to the Star City protector: “Why does he get a weapon and I don’t?”
“I trust him more than you,” Oliver replies.
Digger wonderfully quips, “Didn’t he kill your mother?”
The battle between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) culminates in a final epic battle on Lian Yu. After recent events, Oliver decides to recruit a group of unlikely allies โ Slade (guest star Manu Bennett), Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law), Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Digger Harkness (guest star Nick. E. Tarabay) โ to defeat Chase. However, Chase has his own army โ Black Siren (guest star Katie Cassidy), Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin) and Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig) โ and the forces collide in an explosive season finale.
Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Marc Guggenheim.
