Tonight's episode starts with Barry speeding around his kitchen making Iris breakfast of pancakes and the two embrace.

We're taken to STAR Labs where the two Wells (HR and Harrison) are decorating the basement for a Valentine's Day part and they share a humorous moment in which they debate on brushing their teeth either front to back or in rotating circles.

HR Wells passes out Valentine's Day cards and Jessie Quick approaches Wally about telling her dad that she's moving to Earth-1. In a separate room where Harrison Wells is working on a project, Jessie and Wally walk in and break the news.

After initial hesitation, Harrison asks if Wally makes her happy. Once Jesse confirms, Harrison says he's fine with it, but warns the two not to screw it up. Wally mentions that they need to find Jesse a place to stay and Jesse fires back that they need to be finding the two a place to stay together.

Out in the main room, Cisco and Caitlin are sharing their feelings about being alone with Gypsy vibes into the room and starts shooting energy blasts at everyone. Harrison wells runs in to shoot her and knock her out.

Team Flash imprisons Gypsy in the basement of STAR Labs where it's revealed that she was mind controlled by Grodd and let Grodd and his army vibe to Earth-1. Grodd can then be seen looking at Central City from a nearby cliff with his gorilla army behind him.

When Team Flash realizes that Grodd and the rest of the Gorilla City army is on Earth-1, they find out their satellites have been scrambled before agreeing that Cisco needs to vibe into the future to find out Grodd's location. Cisco proceeds to mention that they should let Gypsy out of her STAR Labs cell to help her take on Grodd and while he tries persuading her, she reveals the scenes she saw while Grodd was controlling her — scenes that showed the complete destruction of Central City. With Cisco unable to convince her to join Team Flash in the fight against Grodd, he allows her to leave the facility to go back to her Earth.

Wally and Harrison are working on Cisco's vibing equipment when the latter reveals that he's terminally ill, a secret that he says Wally needs to keep from Jesse. The group reconvenes with the updated vibing equipment and Cisco begins to vibe to the future in which Grodd begins attacking Central City.

Cisco tells the Team an intersection in which the attack is supposed to take place and the team rushes there. No action appears to be taking place when Joe turns a gun on himself and it's shown that Grodd has taken control of the detective. Joe fires the gun and Barry is able to save him in just enough time with just a small scratch on his forehead where the bullet scraped. Barry then realizes that the intersection was just a distraction and the army was assembling elsewhere.

While Caitlin is stitching up Joe back at STAR Labs, Joe doesn't remember much of what he saw while being controlled by Grodd, just brief flashes of unknown locations. Harrison reveals there's a procedure on his Earth where they're able to look into a person's memories and Joe agrees to the procedure.

A visibly upset Barry begin walking away as Iris follows. Barry states his frustration of people close to him being involved in dangerous situations and tells Iris that he wants to kill Grodd so that everything stops.

Wally isn't able to keep the secret of Earth-2 Wells being ill and spills the beans to Jesse. Jesse goes to confront her father as they begin using Wells' equipment to look into the memories of Joe West. Joe begins sketching the image of the man Grodd's currently controlling and it's revealed that it's an Army general with control over Fort Reynolds, an Army base armed with nuclear weapons outside of Central City.

HR gets the idea to run Joe's sketch through a facial recognition database. After a quick search, it's revealed the general that Grodd is controlling is General Matthew McNally. Shortly after, the STAR Labs alarm begins going off as Grodd has begun a missile launch sequence that would kill hundreds of thousands of Central City civilians.

As Barry speeds off, he's able to stop the launch after trying nearly every combination of numbers possible. A disgruntled Grodd can be seen looking over the incident and he begins charging the city with his army.

We're treated to a brief cameo of Accelerating Man speaking with Gypsy on Earth-19 as Cisco vibes in to try and convince her to join Team Flash in the fight against Grodd.

Back on Earth-1, the speedsters are beginning to distract the gorilla army as Gypsy and Cisco vibe into the scene with a special guest: Solovar.

Solovar challenges Grodd to a fight and after an epic fight sequence, Solovar tosses Grodd off the roof of a skyscraper, rendering him unconscious. Solovar claims victory and the gorilla army acknowledges Solovar as their leader once more.

The three speedsters transport the gorillas back to Earth-2 and race back to STAR Labs, where Barry tells the rest of the team that Grodd is now in custody of A.R.G.U.S. Before Gypsy goes off to depart back to Earth-19, she shares a kiss with Cisco and informs him that he couldn't handle her.

At Barry and Iris' apartment, the two share a romantic moment before Barry drops down to one knee and proposes to her using his mother's ring. Before we get an answer, the scene cuts to Wally and Jesse at the West household. Jesse mentions that she could eat some Big Belly Burger, so Wally speeds off to get some for the two. Outside of Big Belly Burger, Wally sees a familiar speeding white light and is surprised to look around and see Savitar charging towards him.
