Sure, Ben Affleck’s first solo movie as The Batman has had some issues so far, but there are several reasons not to worry. First, and most importantly, Matt Reeves has taken over the project and looks to be righting the ship.

You also need to remember that, no matter how many problems the new movie has faced, it could never be worse than a previous take on the character.

Some fans choose to forget the film, but there’s no denying that Batman & Robin definitely exists. Everything from bat-nipples to “De ICE AGE” totally happened, even if you wish it didn’t.

Some mark this as the darkest time in the cinematic history of the Dark Knight, but George Clooney thinks of it as even more than that. He remembers the film as the day Batman died.

During an exclusive interview at CinemaCon, Clooney took some time to chat with ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis. He asked the actor about his feelings regarding Ben Affleck’s take on the character, and Clooney revealed that he hasn’t actually seen it yet.

Why? Well, because Clooney feels that Batman died with him, back in 1997.

“I haven’t seen it, you know? Because I feel like Batman died with me. As you can imagine, don’t you guys feel the same way? Let me just point this out, I wore a rubber suit and giant rubber nipples, and I still have a career.”

At least George Clooney knows his Batman was a devastating tragedy, and it’s great that he’s been able to come back from it. Even Chris O’Donnell got past the hate – with a little help from NCIS.

Thankfully, Bruce Wayne recovered too. The Dark Knight is one of the most celebrated comic book films of all time, and the new Justice League trailer really seemed to give fans the Batman they’ve been asking for.
