Fox’s hit DC Comics show Gotham made waves yesterday, with the release of its intense season four trailer. Aside from that trailer reveal, fans got some pretty exciting casting news out of the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel.
Crystal Reed, best known as Alison Argent from MTV’s Teen Wolf, has been cast as Sofia Falcone in Gotham‘s forth season. Sofia is the daughter of Carmine ‘Don’ Falcone, the crime boss heavily featured in the show’s first season. You can read her official character description below:

“Strong, intelligent and calculating, she has run the Falcone operation in the south for the past 10 years and is returning to Gotham to help Gordon take down Penguin.”
Sofia was first introduced in the pages of Batman: The Long Halloween, in which she helped her father track down a mob family-killing serial killer. In Batman: Dark Victory, she became a killer herself, taking on the secret identity of Hangman.
It’s unclear if Gotham‘s version of Sofia will travel down a similarly dark path. But either way, Reed’s arrival into Gotham‘s fourth season is sure to be welcomed by many.
