The actor has been seen spending time, and interacting, with his fellow DC co-stars, but it looks like he is making his heel turn as the villain this week.

As a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, the actor has taken to social media to call out the actors who play heroes Batman and Superman.

Henry Cavill is a longtime supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, and he was seen on the sidelines of the team’s playoff game against the Steelers on Sunday night. The Steelers went on to beat the Chiefs, advancing to the AFC championship game next weekend.

In that game, the Steelers will face-off against bitter rivals, the New England Patriots. As many folks already know, Ben Affleck is an enormous Patriots fan.

Being a Boston native, Affleck has always sported pride in the city’s sports teams. In his film The Town, the Red Sox played a major part in the plot.

Manganiello tweeted out a picture of Cavill in his Chiefs gear, saying that “Superman’s down…Batman’s Next.”

He then said “See you Sunday” and signed the post as Deathstroke.

The characters may not face off until later this year – or possibly in 2018 – but Manganiello is taking the fight straight to Affleck’s doorstep.
