After all, according to Laurence Fishburne, Marvel Studios has been kicking DC’s a** when it comes to box-office ventures.
Recently, the Matrix star spoke with LA Times to promote his part in John Wick: Chapter 2. The actor, who played Perry White in Batman v Superman, was asked about his possible work on Justice League. Laurence confessed he was not part of the film, but he did go on to say he was excited to see the blockbuster.
“We’ve been waiting 35 years for these [characters] to show up on the screen. What were they doing over there? Marvel has been kicking their ass. This is the comic-book geek in me, who has a collection of comic books. I’ve been waiting to see these people on-screen forever,” Fishburne said.
Previously, the actor said he wasn’t able to work out White’s return because of scheduling, but Fishburne also didn’t see a place for the Daily Planet editor. “Really, what do you need the newspaperman in “Justice League” for?” he said. “You want to see the Flash. You want to see Aquaman. You want to see Wonder Woman. You want to see the Lantern.”
Justice League will release to theaters on November 17th. Are you excited for the team-up film? Let us know with your own Anticipation Ranking!
