There were those who had issues with Jesse Eisenberg’s take on Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Those people might have had far less of an issue if the studio had cast Shia Labeouf, at least if this latest mashup video is any indication.

Labeouf’s motivational video for the Central Saint Martins Art School has made the rounds for awhile now, but YouTube user Adeel Of Steel recently combined it with Superman’s journey in Batman v Superman, and it’s the stuff of magic.

Labeouf’s intensity makes the footage even bleaker than it already is, and his shouting at Superman to “just do it!” as he gives his life to kill Doomsday is out of this world. It’s over the top to be sure, but it’s hard not to get swept away in it.

Up next for DC Films is the anticipated Justice League, which many hope will correct some of the missteps of Batman v Superman. You can find the official description for the film below.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
