Patty Jenkins burst onto the directorial scene with a biopic about a prostitute turned serial killer called Monster. But despite the successful collaboration between the her and Charlize Theron, who won an Academy Award for her role, the two have yet to work together on another project.

But Jenkins is hopeful it will happen in the future, as she recently stated in an interview with ET.
“I always want to reunite with her, I’m shocked that we haven’t,” Jenkins said. “We left our partnership on Monster planning on doing many more things together, and we had such a great experience; I can’t wait to work with her again and I’m sure we will.”
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Jenkins and Theron collaborate on another film in the near future. Jenkins is fresh off of directing one of the most successful superhero films in history, while Theron has become an action icon with roles in Mad Max: Fury Road, Fate of the Furious, and Atomic Blonde.
We might not see a new project featuring two of them together for quite some time, though it could happen. Jenkins is almost a lock to direct Wonder Woman II, which is going to be released in 2019. Though Theron is likely to reappear in the 9th Fast and Furious movie, there’s no set release date for that film at this point.
Jenkins is notoriously picky with her projects, with Monster and Wonder Woman being the only feature-length films to her name. She directed episodes of Arrested Development, Entourage, the Sarah Silverman Program, and the acclaimed pilot of The Killing.
Despite only having two films to her name, Jenkins is an extremely profitable director. Monster was made for just $8 million and took in over $60 million at the box office, while Wonder Woman just crossed the $800 million mark.
Theron is now one of the biggest actors in Hollywood and with the success in Wonder Woman she could easily justify a role in the film. Wonder Woman has a few prominent villains who Theron could play, including Cerce, Cheetah, and Hera.
Wonder Woman is now available on Digital HD.
