Widely regarded as the best DC Extended Universe movie to date, Wonder Woman continues powering forward after raking in major money, to the tune of $100 million, at this weekend’s domestic box office.

Now, thanks to storyboard artist Jay Oliva, we’re getting a look at some of the earliest art related to the movie. Oliva took to Twitter to shared seven different pieces of storyboard art he had worked on for the movie.

While the artist didn’t leave any direct indication of notes about the artwork, the majority of the pieces surround Diana’s (Gal Gadot) rescue of Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) as the latter’s plane crashed into the island of Themyscira.

Oliva is no stranger to the superhero genre. After getting his start on the cult classic Spider-Man series in the 90s, Oliva has worked as a storyboard artist โ€” and later director โ€” of several animated hits including Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, an animated hit based on Frank Miller’s legendary comic run of the same name.

He got his start storyboarding live action films with 2013’s Man of Steel and has since done work on Ant-Man, Deadpool, and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Most recently, he directed Warner Bros. Animation’s critically-acclaimed Justice League Dark animated movie.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg & Geoff Johns, story by Heinberg & Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Saรฏd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner and David Thewlis.
