The most recent numbers for the most-downloaded content within the PlayStation store proved that retro titles are still just as popular as ever with Friday the 13th: The Game and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy dominating the PlayStation charts for the month of June.

Friday the 13th: The Game, the asymmetrical horror game that lets one player play as the iconic Jason Voorhees while they hunt down eight other players who take on the role of camp Counselors was the No. 1 game that was downloaded through the PlayStation store. The game was released back in late May, so it makes sense that it would climb to the top of the charts in June with last month being the first full month for the game on the market. When it was released fully on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the game experienced quite a few rocky starts when it came to getting the servers up and running in a way that could accommodate the unexpected influx of players who couldn’t wait to get their hands on some Counselors while playing as one of the many variations of Jason throughout the classic horror movies.
On a very different note from the top game on the charts, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy came in at second place on the list of the most-downloaded games. The game released very late in June with only two dates left in the month, but that didn’t stop veteran gamers from jumping on the chance to relive the old school Bandicoot experience as soon as they could while they rocketed the game up to the No 2 spot, surpassing other popular titles like Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor: Game of the Year Edition, Grand Theft Auto V and God of War III Remastered along the way.
The charts reported on other PlayStation figures as well besides full games such as which DLCs were downloaded the most. Unsurprisingly, Call of Duty Black Ops III: Zombies Chronicles was the most-downloaded add-on, but it was followed closely by both the Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer and FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood expansions.
