Destiny 2 is just a few weeks away from arrival, and fans are going nuts wondering what the new game will offer, based upon what they've played from last week's open beta thus far. But European fans are particularly lucky, as Activision will be offering up some PlayStation 4-related goods that they will want to get their hands on.
Announced on the PlayStation Blog this morning, these Destiny 2 goods, including a special limited edition controller (pictured above) and systems, will be available starting on September 6th, and while they may not be as elaborate as the PS4 Destiny: The Taken King bundle that was released a while back, they still look like some pretty good things that Destiny fans shouldn't be without.
Let's talk about the controller first. A white PS4 controller with Destiny 2 emblems imprinted on the grips and a Destiny 2 logo on the touchpad, this limited edition controller will be sold separately.
On top of that, Sony will offer up a Glacier White PS4 Pro Bundle that comes with the system, a regular white controller, a copy of Destiny 2 (Blu-Ray), a Destiny 2 expansion pass, and premium digital content, including a Legendary sword, Legendary player emote and Cabal Empire themed emblem. There's also a black system available as well, with the same specs and ingredients, if you prefer to get that model instead.
Finally, there will be regular PS4 bundles available as well, including a 1TB Jet Black PS4, a model with an extra controller (if you have a friend tagging along), and a 500GB Jet Black model, all of which come packaged with a copy of Destiny 2.
Each of these bundles will also include the PS4 exclusive content coming with the game, including a Co-op Strike, an Exotic Sniper Rifle, a Ship Variant, a Multiplayer Map and three Legendary Armor sets.
However, these bundles haven't been announced outside of Europe. At least, not yet. Knowing Activision, however, there's a good chance we'll get some news on what's being offered here. It's definitely a great way to get some PlayStation 4 Pro systems out the door, that's for sure. You can see what the systems look like in the attached gallery.
Destiny 2 releases on September 6th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and October 24th for PC.
