The series, which made its surprise return earlier this month with a new story arc that focuses on a very malicious Riddler, has done well over the past few weeks, and now the next step in the storyline is set to debut next month – and with a very familiar character in the fray.
The team has confirmed that the next episode, named The Pact, will make its debut on September 26th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and it will also debut on mobile devices, along with the debut episode for The Enemy Within.
As for that familiar character, it’s none other than Harley Quinn. “In keeping with our efforts to create our own unique take on the Batman canon, we’ve worked hard to craft an interpretation of the character that captures her essential qualities while still framing her in a new way. The power dynamic between Harley and ‘John Doe’ should prove especially…intriguing,” the company noted in the press release.
That John Doe is none other than the Joker, and you can catch a glimpse of him, as well as Harley, in the attached gallery. No doubt this next chapter will be quite the interesting one for the Dark Knight, as well as these two familiar characters. And who knows where the Riddler will pop back up…
Telltale reminded us that, along with the downloadable version of the game, there will also be a Season Pass Disc made available at retail on October 3rd for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and will provide access to all five chapters in the series, so you won’t miss a beat. There was also a rumored Nintendo Switch version, but that still has yet to be confirmed.
For the time being, we’re interested to see where this story goes next – as well as who voices Harley, since there’s already a top-notch voice cast in the game that features Troy Baker (as Batman) and Anthony Ingruber (as Joker).
Batman: The Enemy Within is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
