These Games Released in 2025 Look Amazing on the Steam Deck

When Valve introduced the Steam Deck in 2022, the device revolutionized the console gaming market as a high-powered gaming computer. The idea of the Steam Deck is to let you play any game in your Steam library on the go, and itโ€™s been incredibly successful, with multiple releases offering various screen sizes, memory capacities, and more. While most games look and play well on the device, others are engineered with the Steam Deck in mind. In 2025, numerous games found their way into gamers’ hands on Steam Decks, but these five stand out for looking absolutely amazing on their screens.

Not only was Hollow Knight: Silksong one of the most successful indie games of 2025, but it looks incredible on the Steam Deck. The platformerโ€™s artistic style appears brilliantly on the screen, which is primarily thanks to its native support for the Steam Deckโ€™s 1280×800 resolution. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous on the handheld device, ensuring players burn through the battery life in nearly every playthrough. While it natively supports the Steam Deck, Hollow Knight: Silksong would probably look great regardless, as itโ€™s a brilliantly programmed game thatโ€™s deservedly been nominated for and won several awards.

2) Blue Prince

Blue Prince is another popular title that looks great on the Steam Deck, as the puzzle adventure gameโ€™s visuals feature stunningly impressive detail throughout its 46 rooms. The goal is to reach the 46th room, which is accomplished by drafting rooms that lead to it. Each room has unique traits and/or items, including puzzles, that impede progress. The visuals are ideal for the Steam Deckโ€™s native resolution, and it runs at 60 FPS, though itโ€™s not stingy with the deviceโ€™s battery life. Players have found that a frame rate of 45 FPS is ideal to solve this problem, and Blue Prince looks great when set up this way.

3) Dispatch

Thereโ€™s no denying that episodic adventure games of all kinds look spectacular on the Steam Deck, but 2025โ€™s Dispatch is a cut above the rest. The gameโ€™s visuals are ideally suited for the handheld console, and it plays exceptionally well on the Steam Deck. Dispatch is also one of the most successful indie titles of 2025, having sold more than 2 million copies in its first month alone. The game runs without any issues on the device, as you only need to use three buttons to play. The text choices are scaled up to make them easily readable on the Steam Deck, so you can select your choices without squinting at the screen.

4) Hades II

The first Hades game works exceptionally well on the Steam Deck, so itโ€™s no surprise that the indie hitโ€™s sequel performs admirably on the device. It plays flawlessly on the system without draining the battery as much as most games. Thatโ€™s an impressive programming achievement given how much animation and button-mashing are involved in a standard playthrough of the roguelike action role-playing game. Hades II is well-suited to the Steam Deckโ€™s gamepad controls, and itโ€™s one of those games you can play on the system for hours without noticing the passage of time.

5) Split Fiction

You might not think that a game designed with a split-screen multiplayer mechanic would look great on the Steam Deck, but you’d be wrong. Split Fiction looks impressive on the device, and its visuals look amazing regardless of the split, as thereโ€™s more than enough screen real estate for the action. The gameโ€™s default settings on the Steam Deck work flawlessly, including TAA upscaling at 100% render resolution. Furthermore, it typically plays above 40 FPS, doesnโ€™t kill the systemโ€™s battery life, and its co-op nature makes it an ideal game to play with your friends, whether theyโ€™re on the Steam Deck or not.
