Humble (as in Humble Bundle) is about to publish its first console game, and it looks amazing. A Hat in Time was a Kickstarter darling that has been years in the making, and at long last, the PC launch is right around the corner, slated for fall. Additionally, it was recently revealed that A Hat in Time will be making its way to PS4 and Xbox One as well. Both versions will set you back a cool $29.99. This game is so colorful, so charming, and so full of fun ideas. Fans have been waiting years to get their hands on this game, and after seeing some gameplay we think you’ll understand why! Check out the new trailer above to get a taste of things to come.

Now maybe you see why this game earned almost 1000% percent of its original Kickstarter goal. Developer Gears for Breakfast is pouring in its heart and soul into this one, and as Humble’s publishing debut it’s become a bit of a hot curiosity for the gaming community at large. This could end up being one of the biggest platformers of the year alongside Super Mario Odyssey — another game that features hats!

Humble’s publishing lead John Polson recently took to the PlayStation Blog to get fans acquainted with this humble little powerhouse. “In A Hat in Time, you play as a tiny space-travelling girl with a big top hat. Her adventure is halted when all her fuel (Time Pieces) is lost and scattered across a nearby planet. Hat Kid must now jump, fight, and talk her way into every nook and cranny of this new world to restore her fuel and resume her journey.

“Throughout her adventure you can expect more than 35 acts, including an island full of mobsters and food, a murder mystery to investigate and platform while riding a high-speed locomotive, and some that only the most dedicated collectors will reach.”

This is one game that we’ll definitely be keeping our eye on, and we can’t wait to play. We’ll be sure to share future updates with you all, and you can stay tuned to WWG for our full review when the time comes!
