“The duo of police-robot Byte and dog-robot Barq makes for an intimidating beach-patrol team. In the heat of battle, Byte is known to take a big leap off Barq and rain down punches on opponents! But if they win the ARMS Grand Prix, who’s gonna patrol Buster Beach?!”
So Byte and Barq will enter the ARMS arena together. The pair are used to patrolling the sandy shores of Buster Beach, which proves how truly daring they are; robots and water don’t typically get along very well. This dynamic duo is willing to risk nut and bolt to keep Busty Beach safe so you better believe they’ll put it all on the line for the ARMS Grand Prix.
Nintendo has really knocked it out of the park with this character designs. When we saw Mechanica for the first time, we thought it couldn’t get any better. Then Min Min and Helix showed up and we thought we had reached the apex of strange creativity. Then there was Twintelle and her well-rendered assets. Now we have Byte and Barq with their bizarre backstory and goofy personalities. I mean, take a look at the stat chart that Nintendo put together:
You’ll noticed that bromance is maxed out, here. These two are inseparable, and I think I may have found my main. Unfortunately Byte and Barq will not be available to play during the second round of the ARMS Test Punch this weekend, but we don’t have long to wait until the full version of the game comes out. ARMS will spring onto the Nintendo Switch on June 16. Stick around to WWG for our full coverage and review.
