The publisher has confirmed that a new promotional event is set to kick off starting tomorrow, and will span over the next five weeks. Dubbed the Days of Summer event, it’ll be for players of Modern Warfare Remastered, and will feature a number of items, including feature maps, double XP, new playlists, gear and more surrounding the game.
The developers at Raven have confirmed that a new summer themed map for Remastered will debut tomorrow, though it hasn’t been revealed just yet.
“In celebration of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered launch, players will also be able to participate in the newest seasonal Call of Duty event called, Call of Duty ‘Days of Summer.’ The five-week community celebration begins June 27th and will feature a bevy of in-game giveaways, XP events and new playlists across multiple titles, including a new summer-themed map for Modern Warfare Remastered that will be available through the duration of the event, along with much more to be announced on Tuesday,” the developer confirmed.
Activision is set to reveal details about the new map and event starting tomorrow, once Modern Warfare Remastered makes its way to store shelves and on the PlayStation Store. There’s no word yet if the publisher will introduce such an event for the Xbox One and PC versions when they become available next month, but it’s certainly possible โ especially since summer will still be going on and all that.
For now, PS4 owners get the spoils, and the next five weeks should be good old-fashioned fun for Call of Duty fans, with a number of additions and events that will help you stack up experience points and other goodies within the game. We’ll let you know the breakdown once details are confirmed in just a few hours’ time.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available separately for PlayStation 4 starting tomorrow. You can also get it as part of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
