What kind of multiplayer modes can we expect from the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII? Obviously, we know there will be basic quick match options, and the cooperative Nazi Zombies, but will there be ranked play or any other modes? Well, we now know pretty much the whole scope, as the makers of Call of Duty: WWII have gone and shared the game’s main multiplayer menu.

Recently, YouTuber Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag asked Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey whether the game would have ranked playlists, and got a more informative answer than he probably expected.

Here’s a brighter, clearer version of the multiplayer menu:
As you can see, Call of Duty: WWII will be offering ranked matches, which isn’t always a guarantee with this series (Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare didn’t have proper ranked play, for instance). Sledgehammer has previously teased ranked play will be included, but this is the first unambiguous confirmation. The studio is definitely looking to satisfy the hardcore CoD player this time around.
There’s plenty of other information to be gleaned for this menu โ for instance, it seems CoD: WWII will also offer a new “Daily Mode.” Could it be some sort of regularly updated playlist? Or perhaps a rotating set of challenges? Also, it looks like you can jump into the Headquarters social hub at any time with a simple press of a button. That’s certainly a welcome feature โ hopefully entering Headquarters is mostly a loading-screen-free experience.
Call of Duty: WWII storms on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 3. You can check out all WWG’s latest Call of Duty coverage here.
