Most Xbox owners expected Crackdown 3 to be a major focus for Microsoft at E3 2017, and yet, the game ended up being somewhat passed over. Sure, we got a hype video starring a very intense Terry Crews, but Microsoft didn’t really show much actual Crackdown 3 gameplay or discuss the game in any sort of in-depth way.

Well, thankfully, Microsoft made up for shortchanging Crackdown 3 at E3 with a full panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Hosted by Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, the panel featured various creative types from developer Sumo Digital, as well as Terry Crews himself, who’s definitely all-in on this Crackdown 3 thing. The full panel hasn’t been made available online, but a brief teaser featuring Crews’ character has been released. You can check that out, above.
Crews will be playing Commander Jaxon, one of the leaders of The Agency’s strike force, and major force in Crackdown 3. According to the writers, Crews will be at his over-the-top best, and may be doing and saying some “weird stuff” throughout the game, so get ready for Crackdown to get some Old Spice commercial flavor.

Microsoft also streamed some Crackdown 3 gameplay for the first time via Mixer at SDCC 2017. The stream was hosted by Major Nelson, with various Comic-Con celebs and VIPs doing the playing, and, well, they’re weren’t great at the game (to be charitable). That said, this is our first real official look at Crackdown 3 gameplay, so it’s still worth a look.
