Fable II first made its debut from the now dormant Lionhead Studios back in 2008 for the Xbox 360, and the sequel to the beloved RPG remains a cherished title in the franchise. Though Lionhead has officially closed their doors, it does not mean that players cannot continue to chase those chickens for old time’s sake.

The Fable franchise is one where every choice has a consequence, and every decision matters. With each release, players were able to customise and tailor their adventure more and more – but Fable II continues to be at the head of the pack when it comes to the series as a whole.
What is Fable II?
“Fable IIย provides players with a truly immersive experience where a virtually limitless number of choices can be made, all of which have their own consequences, making each game unique. When you start the game, you choose either to play the role of a boy or girl, and depending on your choices, the hero will grow up to be tall or short, good or evil. Players can get married and have children; female player characters will become pregnant, which will then be reflected by their physical appearance.
Early in the game, players are presented with a stray dog for a best friend, who will need to be fed and loved, and will accompany the player throughout his or her life. Depending on the player, the dog will change appearance and assist him or her in various ways, such as alerting of impending dangers and attacking enemies.”

Fable II also supplies a fun co-op experience to battle it out within this vast world or build a relationship with one another. This title was a magical installment to a franchise many were sad to let go of with the closure of the studio. In the age where older games are experiencing epic revivals, many still hold out on the hope that somehow this franchise will be brought back. Until a miracle occurs, players can enjoy the first Fable and theย Fable Anniversary Edition on the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program, though no word on when Fableย II is expected to join that list.ย
Fable II is now available for the Xboxย 360.
