Forza Horizon Devs Off To A Fantastic Start With Unannounced Open World Action Game

The team behind the incredibly popular racing title, Forza Horizon, have their sites on a different sort of project in the near future. The devs over at Playground Games have been making all of the right moves to assemble the perfect team for a huge, and still unannounced, project.

What we know so far about the mysterious title is that it will be an open world action game and the endeavor is so large that the team felt the need to open up a second studio to make sure that their vision can come to life the way they see fit. It's looking to be off to a solid start as many developers from all sorts of backgrounds are coming together for the upcoming title. Veterans from the Grand Theft Auto V and Metal Gear series, including the former head of Star Wars Battlefront II and a little Kojima Productions action too. Sean Eyestone, Will Kennedy, Hellblade's Juan Fernandez di Simon, and more are ready to get this show on the road and with a line up like that - we can't wait for it!

It will be interesting to see how the team continues to grow. From July until last month, a few key names have been added to the developer team making the upcoming open world game all the more curious. So far, Playground Games boasts just over 200 employees for their newest studio bringing their grand total to just over 400. This is good news, given that reports of a new Forza Horizon game are circulating for a 2018 release.

We'll have to wait and see what the future brings for this mystery title, but they've got a creative team heading its progress so we can be sure that whatever it is - it could very much be well worth the wait!
