GTA 6 Report Gives Update on Release Date, Trailer #3, and Special PS5 Version

A new GTA 6 report has given an update on its release date, the long-awaited third trailer, and a special PS5 version that Rockstar Games and PlayStation are preparing. The new report comes the way of Detective Seeds, an industry insider who does not boast a bulletproof track record, but who has proven reliable on more than one occasion in the past with undeniable leaks.

According to the insider, Grand Theft Auto fans should not be worried about another delay, suggesting the current GTA 6 release date is locked in. To this end, the insider claims that those who have access to GameStop’s backend — which would be GameStop employees — should be able to see the game’s “SKU” details soon. Adding to this, the insider also provided an update on the third GTA 6 trailer, which Grand Theft Auto fans have been waiting months for.

GTA 6 Trailer #3 Update and PS5 Bundle

According to Detective Seeds, Rockstar Games is going to show GTA 6 trailer #3 — which is rumored to drop soon — on its own, not at a PlayStation event. This clarification follows word that PlayStation has secured some type of marketing deal with the game. While PlayStation hasn’t secured the third trailer for a PlayStation State of Play, it has apparently secured a special PS5 bundle for the game’s release, though details on what to expect from this bundle have not been divulged. There is no word, meanwhile, of a PS5 Pro bundle, but surely this is also in the works, and surely Sony is going to use GTA 6 to push units of the premium machine.

As you may know, the last time Rockstar Games released a Grand Theft Auto game — when it released GTA 5 in 2013 — it had an exclusive PS3 bundle, so there is some precedent for this new bundle. All of that said, take everything here — word of no more delays, the update on the third trailer, and the reveal of this bundle — with a grain of salt. Nothing here is official information. And even if it is currently accurate, it doesn’t mean it will remain accurate, as everything is subject to change in game development.

At the moment of publishing, Rockstar Games, its parent company Take-Two Interactive, nor PlayStation, which is also implicated, have not commented on this new report. There are a variety of reasons that contribute to the expectation that this won’t change, but if it does, we will update the story accordingly.
