‘Injustice 2’ Reveals First Hellboy Gameplay Trailer

When NetherRealm Studios unveiled the Fighter Pack 2 DLC pack a couple months back, folks were surprised to see the rock-fisted Hellboy. The pack’s paid off pretty well over the past couple of months, and now it’s Hellboy’s turn.

NetherRealm has come through and given us a first look at the hellish hero in action, and he didn’t disappoint.

A Hell of a Time

Hellboy looks like quite a powerhouse in Injustice 2. Not only can he level enemies with direct punches from his rock fist, but he has plenty of one-liners and wise cracks to throw at his opponent as well.

His super move is brutal. In a flaming descent into Hell, Hellboy gives his foe a face full of fist — a few times — before finishing them off with a sweeping blow with a freaking axe. It’s pretty short, but it’s sweet.

This guy is definitely a powerhouse, and even the strongest opponents in Injustice 2 – like Swamp Thing and Black Manta – will have their work cut out for them.

So When’s Hellboy Coming, and What’s Next?

As noted in the trailer, we can expect Hellboy to make his debut in November, though a specific date wasn’t given just yet. More than likely, he’ll arrive earlier in the months, just as Raiden did.

And that leaves a very interesting question: when will we see fighters revealed in the forthcoming Fighter Pack 3 DLC? We’ve already speculated who could be added to the third pack in the game, but here’s a quick rundown of who we expect.

Constantine/Rorschach – One of the next characters wears a trench coat, so it could either be the supernatural detective Constantine, or the mysterious (yet strong) Rorschach from the Watchmen series.

Enchantress – We’ve already seen a number of Suicide Squad members introduced to the game, so why not add one more? We’ve already seen hints that a new female character will join the party, so our bets are on this vixen.

Atom – The final entrant is definitely pint-sized, based on early silhouettes we’ve seen, and there’s only one character that fits that mold: The Atom. And more than likely, he’ll bring shrinking/enlarging into his fighting techniques.
