Injustice 2 Spoilers: Good and Bad Endings Revealed
WARNING: Major Injustice 2 story spoilers ahead. Proceed with caution; or with recklessness, we [...]
Batman (Good Ending)
If you choose to fight as Batman, you're on the side of ultimate justice. Batman believes that the Justice League should very rarely be the instruments of lethal punishment, since their abilities and enhancements grant them so much power over the average man and woman. His code of justice extends even to Brainiac, conqueror of worlds, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to stop Superman from murdering the being that could be their last hope for saving all of the cities and human lives trapped and imprisoned on board Brainiac's ship.
To settle things once and for all, Batman lures Superman and Wonder Woman back to the Batcave, where he stands ready with a new suit of kryptonite armor. After taking down Wonder Woman (again), Batman faces off with Superman one last time and manages to take him down. A quick slash of gold kryptonite (also known as "gold-K" on the hard streets of Krypton) renders Superman helpess and vulnerable, and Batman and Supergirl place him back into shackles and banish him to the phantom zone where he'll stay, we assume, until Injustice 3 rolls around.
Things end rather nicely with Batman and Supergirl joining forces to form a new Justice League.
Superman (Evil Ending)
If you pick Superman, you're a jerk.
Just kidding, we know you have your reasons. You love absolute power just like Superman does. Who can blame you? If you choose to side with Superman, then you get to go on the ultimate power trip to conclude the game. Things play out much like they do during the Batman ending, only this time things go a bit differently during the showdown in the Batcave.
Superman manages to take down Supergirl and Batman, and Batman ends up with a super-hand wrapped around his neck. He asks for death; asks Superman to show him what a villain looks like. Wonder Woman is all for killing Batman, but Clark elects to keep him alive, claiming that he doesn't want him to die a martyr.
Next we see Superman in a brand new suit. He's bonded with Brainiac's ship and has complete control over all of its functions and inhabitants. Superman boasts that he now has an army composed of millions of warriors thanks to Brainiac's collection, but he can't persuade Supergirl to join him. He hints that she'll join him one way or another, and the game ends with Batman walking onto the scene wearing a similar suit, apparently enslaved by Superman and his new-found powers.
What a jerk.
