What To Do If Your League Of Legends Key Fragments Aren’t Appearing

Since the honor system in League of Legends was updated, plenty of things were changed concerning the way that honor was granted to teammates and what earning honor meant for you. One of the biggest changes that occurred with the new format is that the Key Fragments that players would previously earn for winning games have now been adjusted to be exclusive loot to be earned from the honor system, but some players are having difficulty with receiving the Key Fragments.

As it turns out, you may be receiving your Key Fragments like normal and you’re just not aware of it. Players have reported that a notification doesn’t always appear when you receive a Key Fragment. Instead, the reward is sometimes just moved straight into the Loot page of your client alongside your unopened chests and your Skin Shards.

The discovery was recently posted online where a user by the screen name of Donarex gave a solution to the question that many players had been asking online in places such as the League of Legends boards.

I thought I was one of the people I’ve seen on the sub reddit recently saying they had not received a single key fragment since honor went live,” the post read. “However I logged on this morning and checked out my loot page, low and behold Key Fragment! I didn’t get a notification for this though, so anyone who hasn’t received any go check your loot page, you may have one there just without the notification.”

Users were skeptical at first, but it makes sense that you wouldn’t know they’re in the Loot section if you don’t get a notification. After all, why would you check your loot often if you think you have no Key Fragments?

For those who missed it in the initial announcement and are looking for their Key Fragments, you won’t find them after a game like you used to in the old system. Instead, they’ll appear while you’re browsing through the sections of the client and when you first log in, though they’ll only appear if your honor level is high enough to warrant the reward.

The current lack of notifications is likely a small bug with the system since notifications definitely appear at times, but until it’s resolved, keep checking that Loot page to make sure you’re not missing out on Key Fragments.
