The release of the updated Urgot is growing nearer every day, and to help propel the hype to even higher levels, a new champions spotlight video has been released to showcase League of Legends' newest reworked Dreadnought.

Like all champion spotlight videos, this new post details each one of Urgot's pretty new abilities, some of them taking inspiration from the current version of Urgot while others bringing completely new and utterly terrifying techniques to the Rift.

While Urgot's got plenty of tools at his disposal to take out his enemies, the video is an excellent indicator for those who haven't tested him out in the PBE of how important his passive, Echoing Flames, is when it comes to laning and taking down priority targets. All of his abilities revolve around utilizing his shotgun knees to blast opponents, and the damage that they do can't be stressed enough.

Even the Nautilus in the video that Urgot lanes against quickly gets his health taken away by a couple of well-positioned blasts, but the video also highlights the importance of Urgot's positioning around his enemies. It's like playing an uglier, less graceful version of Fiora while you click your crabby legs around and flip enemies overhead to proc more of the passive blasts.

Passive aside, his other abilities are no joke either. Each one is as deadly as the next, all of them leading up his ultimate, Fear Beyond Death. This long-distance skillshot gives players just a bit of hope when it comes to escaping before Urgot wrenches them back in to a vicious, grinding death.

If you want to get a visual for just how much Urgot has changed over the years since his release, check out his first champion spotlight that shows a much less handsome champion right here. Urgot's changed quite a bit, and so have the spotlight videos, for that matter. The narrator for the video, Phreak, even refers to Urgot as capable of being an Urgod at one point, and towards the end of the video, he cruelly teases that Urgot will be the next Star Guardian.

Urgot is being tested on the PBE right now and should be available during Patch 7.15.
