But, today, during the Marvel Games panel at the show, some new details have emerged on what we can expect from the game โ as well as a few surprise characters that have been leaked in advance!
First up, Kang, who serves as the main villain in the game, will actually build upon the city of Chronopolis by bringing other places together, according to vice president and executive editor for Marvel Digital Media, Ryan Penagos, who live-tweeted the show earlier today.
In addition, writer Kurt Busiek will be bringing Kang-y goodness to the game. Like with Kang Dynasty, Avengers Forever comics!” Penagos noted. Fans of the comics should definitely take notice of this.
But what’s diabolical here is how three characters will be merging into one, and you can see it in the screenshot above. It appears that Carnom, (Venom and Carnage) will be fused into a single entity, and we’re likely to see more of them tomorrow.
But then “Carnom evolves into something even bigger,” according to Penagos. “He shows up in sequence with Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Goblin 2099!” And we’re likely to see this with the trailer tomorrow.
And while most of the new characters will be unveiled with tomorrow’s panel, we do know about one that’ll be in the game โ Howard the Duck! In fact, Greg Miller from Kinda Funny will be voicing the character, and then, at one point, “becomes the Iron Duck. Big role for Howard in the game,” said Penagos. And, yes, the duck armor looks pretty damn smooth.
You can check out the two additional screenshots in the attached gallery to get a good look at the super-Carnom being, as well as Howard being Howard. And who doesn’t like Howard?!
