We’re seeing a lot more cinematic concerts as of late, including The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, Video Games Live, and, as of late, a special Kingdom Hearts concert series coming our way. But soon, Solid Snake will get a turn in the orchestra pit, which is news for Japanese fans.

Metal Gear In Concert has been announced to take place in two different locations in Japan this summer. The first show will be held at the Orix Theater in Osaka on July 30th, and the following show will be at the Tokyo International Forum on August 2nd. Tickets will cost around 9500 yen.

Nicholas Buc will serve as the conductor for the orchestra, which will be the Tokyo Philharmonic in Tokyo, and the Osaka Symphony Orchestra in Osaka. In addition, Donna Burke will perform at both shows, singing on signature songs like “Heavens Divide” from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and “Sins of the Father” from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Over the course of the concert, images from a variety of games in the series will appear on a video screen, bringing the experience even more to life.

The two shows in Japan are just the beginning, as the organizers are looking to hold more shows on a world tour across North America and Europe. They haven’t given dates as to when they’ll be scheduling these shows, but more than likely, the tour will kick off sometime later this year.

More information on the show can be found on the official page, though it’s only in Japanese at the moment. Most of the details have been provided here, but you can get a glance at some of the cool artwork being used to promote the concert on the page. We’ll let you know once we get more official details on what’s happening with the world tour.

In the meantime, if you’re in Japan, you won’t want to miss these, especially if you’re a Metal Gear fan. Who knows, we might just see a few folks show up in cardboard boxes. “Snake? SNAAAAAAAKE!”
