Sure, the official Destiny 2 bundle lies with PlayStation 4, as Sony made a deal with Activision to sew up the rights to the game for packaging purposes, but Microsoft’s deal isn’t half bad.
Found here on the Microsoft Store, the deal provides access to a game console for as low as $249, with a number of different bundles available. But on top of that you get to select two free games on top of the deal – and, surprise, one of those games is Destiny 2.
There are a number of different bundles available, including the Forza Horizon 3 bundle, the Battlefield 1 bundle, the Madden NFL 18 bundle, the Gears of War 4 blue system bundle, the Halo Wars 2 bundle and the forthcoming Minecraft Favorites bundle.
Most of them are priced at $249, save for the 1TB Halo Wars bundle, which is $299. Still, that’s not bad, considering all the cool stuff you’re getting out of it.
There’s no word on how long this deal will last, so you may just want to jump quicker than expected, especially if you’ve been looking to get your hands on an Xbox One console – and, for that matter, Destiny 2.
If you prefer a more official Destiny 2 bundle on the PlayStation side of things, there are many available, though they’re a bit pricier. For instance, there’s a 1TB Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro bundle that will set you back $449, while others are a bit cheaper, but a little lower in storage space. But, hey, that neat white finish doesn’t look too bad. You can shop around for these deals at a number of retailers.
The $249 deal looks like the best bet for Microsoft, though, and you can nab another of the company’s hits in the included bundle. We certainly wouldn’t push aside Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4. Or even Halo Wars 2, if we’re in a strategic frame of mind…
