The brutal Mortal Kombat series got an unexpected tribute recently in the form ... of dance. A group of contortionists competing on the Asia's Got Talent show showed off their skills while telling the first place to "get over here!"

The talented group in question is the Adem Dance Crew based out of the Kyrgyz Republic. Not only did the group have game-accurate costumes for their segment, but they also showed off their impressive contortion skills to a remix version of the "Finish Him" fatality bit from the game itself. The skills shown are ... amazing. The more you watch it, the more it becomes apparent just how intricate the routine is and what went into putting it all together. Check it out for yourself in the video below:

It is the perfect timing for such a theme, given that the franchise recently celebrated its 25th anniversary from its humble 1992 arcade beginnings! There has been so much that the series has had to offer through the years, including spawning a multitude of movies, TV shows, and books for long-time fans. To celebrate such a beloved franchise with us, check out our 25th anniversary special of Mortal Kombat here.

As for the series itself, the lore revolves around the surviving realms that were created by the Elder Gods. According to Moral Komat: Deception, the six realms were described as:

"Earthrealm, home to such legendary heroes as Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, and Jax, and also under the protection of the Thunder God Raiden; Netherrealm, the fiery depths of which are inhospitable to all but the most vile, a realm of demons and shadowy warriors such as Quan Chi and Noob Saibot; Outworld, a realm of constant strife which Emperor Shao Kahn claims as his own; Seido, the Realm of Order, whose inhabitants prize structure and order above all else; the Realm of Chaos, whose inhabitants do not abide by any rules whatsoever, and where constant turmoil and change are worshipped; and Edenia, which is known for its beauty, artistic expression, and the longevity of its inhabitants."

For now, fans will have to rely on Injustice 2 to get their Mortal Kombat fix in until the phase of the adventure.
