With all of the talk about the new Call of Duty: WWII going "back to its roots", many FPS players are wondering what else that has in store for the main campaign. We've had amazing tid-bits recently about the various multiplayer modes and zombies, but let's learn a little more about the story!

The team over at Sledgehammer Games promises several major campaign reveals starting next week on Monday.According to the official Call of Duty Twitter account, at the start of the week there will be four info-filled days all centered around the single-player story. New trailers, new outlines, and more gameplay videos are to be expected from the team over at Sledgehammer.

Though we already know a little bit about the campaign itself, who the player will in the boots of, who are your comrades - we've also learned just how detailed the research that went into the upcoming title actually was. World-renown histories have been pulled into this project to ensure the upmost accuracy possible for the newly arriving shooter.

From the trailers and teasers seen thus far, CoD WWII seems to be exactly what the fans have been asking for. When the franchise was a budding one, it was hailed as a fantastic FPS series that hit all the points gamers were looking for. Through the years, however, many found the spiral into futuristic tropes a bit too much on the gimicky side and eventually declared it to be redundant. The historical timelines definitely seem to be the Call of Duty staple, so it will be interesting to see how the next game in line fairs with both veteran and newbie players.

Call of Duty: World War II releases on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 3rd.
