On the Nintendo Switch, we have the definitive version of Pokken Tournament DX, which is going to send so many of you spiraling down a new funnel of addiction and competition. On the Nintendo 3DS, old-school Pokemon fans are going to spend their weekends starting up brand new adventures in Pokemon Gold or Pokemon Silver.
Pokken Tournament DX
If you’re playing Destiny 2 right now, you may want to hold off on Pokken. I, like many of you, have a competitive spark burning in my belly, and Pokken Tournament DX will challenge you right from the beginning to choose a Pokemon and train it to be the best it can possibly be. Of course, in Pokken, you’ll train that Pokemon by training yourself. Master its combos, master the countering system, hop online, and prove that you’re the very best, like no one ever was.
If you’d like to learn more about Pokken Tournament DX, you can read our full review right here, which concludes in part:
“If you’re even remotely interested in Pokemon and fighting games, you don’t need to be reading this review. Pokken Tournament has always been a freaking treasure, and this is hands-down the definitive version of the game. I wore out the original, and I can’t tell you how glad I am that I can finally play Pokken in bed without worrying about how close I am to my Wii U, and despite the lack of “deluxe” additions, the resolution bump makes for a markedly improved visual experience while playing in handheld mode.”
