October 2025 is going to be a huge month for Xbox Game Pass and day-one games on the subscription service. And this continues the big Xbox Game Pass trend of 2025: day-one games. To this end, the three best, highest-rated games of 2025 have all been available as day-one Xbox Game Pass games. Now, there are eight day-one games for the subscription service in October 2025, including three releases from Xbox Game Studios.

Below, you can check out all eight confirmed day-one Xbox Game Pass games. Of course, there could end up being more, as sometimes there are surprise XGP releases, but right now, there is more than enough to keep subscribers busy. Meanwhile, the lineup below doesn’t even include non-day-one additions, nor all the games still yet to come later this month.

Ninja Gaiden 4

Ninja Gaiden 4 is set to release on October 21 via developer Team Ninja and publisher Xbox Game Studios. The action-adventure game is a direct sequel to 2012’s Ninja Gaiden 3 and the seventh installment in the series.

The Outer Worlds 2

The Outer Worlds 2 is set to release on October 29, 2025, as a sequel to 2019’s The Outer Worlds via developer of the first game, Obsidian Entertainment, and publisher Xbox Game Studios. Just like its predecessor, it is an RPG that puts a big emphasis on player choice.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

As the name suggests, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is a sequel to 2018’s popular indie game, Moonlighter. The RPG meets management game is being brought to market on October 23 by the same pair behind the first game, developer Digital Sun and publisher 11 Bit Studios.

Keeper

Keeper is one of the surprises of 2025, because we didn’t know it existed until a few months ago. In development at the acclaimed Double Fine Productions and being published by Xbox, Keeper is a mixture between a puzzle game and an adventure game, the latter of which the studio is famously known for. It is set to release on October 17.

SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato

SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato is an upcoming narrative adventure game from developer StudioBando, who will debut with the release. It is set to drop on October 7.

Bounty Star: The Morose Tale of Graveyard Clem

Speaking of debuts, developer Dinogod is also set to debut with the release of Bounty Star on October 23, with the help of well-known indie game publisher Annapurna Interactive. The over-the-shoulder 3D action game is a blend of genres, also incorporating mech combat, base building, and farming.

Little Rocket Lab

Little Rocket Lab is a cozy simulation game, and yet another debut, this time from developer Teenage Astronauts, who are being aided by publisher No More Robots. Right now, the game is slated for release on October 7.

Ball x Pit

Ball x Pit is the latest indie game from well-known indie game publisher Devolver Digital. Being made by solo developer Kenny Sun, Ball x Pit is another amalgamation of genres: combining brick-breaking gameplay with base building and some survival and roguelite elements. It is scheduled to be released on October 15.
