Geodude, Graveler, and Golem
Probably the most common Rock-Type Pokemon in Adventure Week, Geodudeย eventually evolves into the powerful Rock-Type Pokemonย Golem. While it takes 125 candies to evolve a Geodudeย all the way up to a Golem, you shouldn’t have any problem collecting them during this weekend’s event.
Rhyhorn and Rhydon
Rhyhorn are also super-common during Adventure Week, although they don’t seem to be popping up at quite the same rate as Geodude. Rhyhornย can evolve into Rhydon, the most powerful Ground-Type Pokemon in the game and a valuable gym defender. Rhydonย has one of highest CP stats in the game, so take advantage of their increased spawn rate while you can.ย
Omanyte and Omastar
Omanyteย is a Fossil Pokemon, an uncommon Pokemonย originally found in ancient times. Omanyteย evolves into Omastar, a strong Rock/Water dual-type. For manyย Pokemonย Goย players, Omanyteย is only available via hatching 10 KM eggs, but it appears to be a pretty common spawn during the Adventure Week.ย
Kabuto and Kabutops
Although not quite as strong as Omanyte, Kabutoย is another Fossil Pokemon and evolves into one of the coolest looking Pokemonย in the game: Kabutops. Kabutoย also hatches from 10 KM eggs, so Adventure Week is the perfect opportunity to get this rare Fossil Pokemonย if you live in an area that usually doesn’t spawn these prehistoric Pokemon.ย
Aerodactyl
Since Aerodactylย is prominently featured in all the promotional material for Adventure Week, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it’s popping up much more frequently during the event. Aerodactylย is still a “rare” spawn (similar to Laprasย during the Water Festival event) but you’ll probably encounter at least one over the next few days.ย
Sudowoodo
Although it looks like a tree, Sudowoodoย is actually a Rock-Type Pokemon. Sudowoodoย doesn’t have the greatest stats, but it is considered an uncommon Pokemon, so now’s the time to get it if you haven’t done so already.ย
Shuckle
Shuckle has the highest Defense stat inย Pokemon Go, but its horrendous Attack and Stamina stats makes it basically a useless Pokemon. Shuckleย can be surprisingly hard to catch inย Pokemonย Go, so use your Razz Berries to grab this Pokemonย while it spawns all over duringย Pokemonย Go.ย
Slugma and Magcargo
The only non Rock-Type Pokemonย that’s part of , Slugma is a pure Fire-Type Pokemonย that eventually evolves into the Fire/Rock dual-type Pokemonย Magcargo. Neither are particularly great Pokemon, but if you want to catch them all, you’ll want to grab these Pokemonย while they’re spawn
Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar
The big prize in Adventure Week is Larvitarย and its evolved forms Pupitar and Tyranitar. Tyranitarย has the highest CP stat in the game and is a valuable gym attacker and defender. Although Larvitarย was initially a common spawn during the first hour or so of Adventure Week, recent spawns have been much more infrequent. Still, this is a great opportunity to earn some candies towards getting that Tyranitar, so keep your eyes out to catch one of these very uncommon Pokemon.ย
