Shovel Knight is getting a great level of appreciation from the folks of Nintendo. After all, the shovel-carrying hero got his own Amiibo when his game launched for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. So why can’t the other “heroes” in the game their chance to shine?

Today, Yacht Club Games revealed that a trio of new Amiibo figurines will be available around the same time as the new King Knight expansion for Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is set to arrive. We’ve included an attached gallery of the three characters that are featured in the collection โ€“ Specter Knight, Plague Knight and King Knight.

In regards to what they unlock, Yacht Club Games hasn’t filled us in on all the details, but more than likely, each character will, at the very least, offer a new Challenge Stage, in which players can test their skill with whomever they’re good with. They should also be able to summon fairy companions as well, who will lend a hand, particularly with helping out against boss characters. That said, they won’t get in your way like certain fairies tend to do in games (we won’t name names).

And better still, it looks like the features will unlock across all versions of Treasure Trove. This includes the Wii U, and considering Nintendo is cancelling certain features for that system left and right (like the Miiverse, coming to a close in November), this is good news. The characters will also unlock goodies in the Switch and Nintendo 3DS editions of the game.

As you can see from the gallery, Nintendo and Yacht Club Games have collaborated very nicely with the figures, as they look just like their video game counterparts. And they could easily stand tall alongside the original Shovel Knight Amiibo. In fact, now may be a good time to clear away some shelf space for them, even though they haven’t been given a full-on release date yet (just early 2018).

Pricing hasn’t been revealed, but the three-pack should go for about the same price as what normal 3-pack Amiibo sets do, so don’t fret that.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PC and PlayStation 3.
