The Force is strong with Star Wars: Battlefront II, as the game is set to take center stage this Saturday during EA's big Play event, which will take place days before the Electronic Entertainment Expo gets underway. We'll have full coverage of the event as it happens, but, in the meantime, we couldn't help but notice that the hit sequel is getting some huge presence right across the way from the convention center.
Every year at E3 (well, save for an oddball year here and there advertising something like Tropic Thunder, the walls at the legendary Hotel Figeuroa adorn some kind of gaming mural to get people excited for the forthcoming show). This year is no exception, as Electronic Arts has rented out the space to feature a really fantastic Star Wars: Battlefront II mural, featuring an Imperial pilot, Darth Maul and Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Rey on each of the building pieces, to form a somewhat complete picture, similar to the one you see above.
The pic was shared by none other than Janina Gavankar, the actress who will be portraying Inferno Squad Commander Iden Versio in the game's story mode. Gavankar shared the image on her Twitter today, claiming, "Done!!! Who's ready for E3? And who am I gonna see at EAplay?" The picture is also below, in case you want to see just about how finished the team is on putting the mural together.
A lot of buildings will be featuring cover art from forthcoming games at the event this week, and the convention center is sure to have its fair share of banners, posters and other art to promote forthcoming titles, like Call of Duty: WWII and Far Cry 5, amongst countless others. EA is just taking advantage of the space in the hopes of drawing more people to EA Play, which will be taking place right down the street at the Hollywood Palladium.
With Battlefront II in attendance – along with countless games and, of course, the lovely Gavankar – who are we to say no to coming to the event? We'll have a full recap as it happens!
