The big gaming event Gamescom isn’t too far off now, set to take place between August 22nd through the 26th in Germany. Thousands of gamers and media will flock the event, getting the latest news from game companies and checking out their latest wares. And, as expected, Ubisoft will be there in full force.

The publisher has revealed that it will set up shop in full force at the show, and promises to bring a huge slate of games for fans to check out. These include demos for Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Far Cry 5, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, The Crew 2, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and the forthcoming seasons of both For Honor and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. We’re slightly bummed that Skull and Bones won’t make the trek, but, hey, the team has to save something for next year, right?
The company has also promised that they will have “exclusive presentations, news, demos, trailers and giveaways” during the event, along with stage performances for Just Dance 2018 and highlights from the Rainbow Six Pro League Season 2 Finals. So there’s always something going on. And if you are registered with the Ubisoft Club, you can stop by and clean up on some rewards as well.
Ubisoft’s Leon Winkler summed up the company’s presence at Gamescom with a simple statement: “We want to interact and engage with as many players as possible. This is one of the reasons why we will have the most game stations we ever had at Gamescom. Besides letting people experience our worlds while playing our games, we will extend the experience by providing immersive activations that are in line with the different game worlds we have. For example, to show our appreciation for the art of cosplay and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Assassin’s Creed we will have a lineup of eight different AC costumes on display created by world renowned cosplayer Rick Boer. We’ll also have photo opportunities, the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League Season 2 finals, goodie hunts and some spectacular Just Dance shows on our main stage.”
So there you have it. We’ll let you know whatever Ubisoft reveals at the event, but, yeah, it should be a ton of fun.
