Ubisoft has been a bit quiet on the Nintendo Switch front since it announced its support for the system back in January. Thus far, we’ve only seen one game – Just Dance – and are patiently awaiting the arrival of three others – Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition, the snowboarding game Steep, and the highly anticipated cross-over Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. So, is anything else coming at all?

It turns out, yes. Kingdom Battle has been getting such buzz, it turns out that chief executive officer for Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, is ready to confirm more support.
During the company’s quarterly financial conference call earlier today, Guillemot confirmed that other games for Nintendo Switch will be announced “quite soon”, but he asked the press to “wait a little bit” for more information.
That said, there are possibilities galore, including the debut of older games, like Rayman Legends, on the platform, as well as other newer titles, like Assassin’s Creed Origins and Beyond Good and Evil 2 – though nothing is confirmed just yet.
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle has been getting some great response, though. Chief financial officer Alain Martinez noted that the reaction was quite positive, calling the game one of the company’s “biggest surprises and attractions” at the show, and the creation being a “giant burst of excitement and high expectations.” He feels that the game will see a very successful launch when it rolls around at the end of August.
He also noted that while Mario + Rabbids features two major franchises, he didn’t call it “a triple-A game exactly”…though it seems like it’ll have no trouble seeing like one.
As far as when we’ll see other games – both the announced titles and the yet-to-be-confirmed games on the horizon, Ubisoft is patiently waiting for the right time to reveal them. But with the holidays not too far off, it’ll more than likely confirm some stuff, maybe even starting as soon as after Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle releases. We’ll see what the company has at that point.
For now, well, at least you have Just Dance…? And Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is only a few weeks away, and looks like a lot of fun.
