Twitter Is Trolling the Council to Re-Open America by Adding Kylo Ren, Thanos, Pennywise, Cats and More

These are stressful times. Thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, life as most people knew it has dramatically changed. Hollywood is shut down, stay at home orders across the country have kept millions of people at home and social distancing guidelines have made going out for essentials something of a lonely affair. It’s a lot to deal with, but many are choosing to do so with humor and that’s why when President Donald Trump announced a council to work toward re-opening the United States, people on Twitter decided to put their own spin on the council’s members to pretty funny result.

It’s that idea of finding humor in things when reality is difficult that Conan the Barbarian and Wayward writer Jim Zub noted when he took to Twitter on Monday noting that some of the memes about the council were “cracking [him] up way more than they should”. Zub himself self shared a couple of his favorites which included Emperor Palpatine, Macavity from Cats and some other pretty hilarious ones, but the humorous memes certainly didn’t stop there. It’s Twitter. Everything and anything can be turned into a meme and they delivered once again.

Whatever your stance on the council or how the United States should handle the ongoing economic ramifications of the pandemic and also the health and safety of people, we can all use some humor and some of the memes are pretty funny.
