Marvel September 2017 Highlights: Venomverse, Legacy, Generations, And Secret Empire

Marvel Comics has released their solicitations and covers for the month of September 2017.

Highlights include the aftermath of the massive Secret Empire event. Hydra has fallen, but how does the Marvel Universe move forward? And can Captain America be redeemed after all that he has done? Those questions are explored in Secret Empire: Omega.

The Secret Empire aftermath can also be felt in new issues of Secret Warriors, Deadpool, USAvengers, and Avengers.

From the ashes of Secret Empire comes Marvel Legacy #1. The special issues begin a brand new era in the Marvel Universe by traveling back in time to visit the very first assembly of heroes known as the Avengers.

Through the mysterious vanishing point comes Generations a series of one-shots in which modern legacy heroes team up with their original inspirations. Captains America Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson join forces once again. Captain Marvel reunites with Captain Mar-Vell, while Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan, teams up with Ms. Marvel Carol, Carol Danvers. Spider-Man Miles Morales teams up with original Spider-Man Peter Parker, and Iron Man teams up with would-be protege Ironheart.

Venomverse launches with venoms from across the multiverse converging to take on the forces of the power Poisons. Four issues ship this month, plus a Venomverse: War Stories and a new issue of the Venom ongoing series.

The Runaways return in their first ongoing comic book series in years. Thor takes on the War Thor, a.k.a. the All-New Ultimate Thor in The Mighty Thor. The Totally Awesome Hulk struggles to recover in the aftermath of the events of Weapons of Mutant Destruction.

There’s also new issues of Uncanny Avengers, The Mighty Captain Marvel, Infamous Iron Man, Invincible Iron Man, Hulk, and more.
