The Marvel Cinematic Universe is hard to wrap one’s mind around, but that does not keep fans from trying. With so many moving parts, Marvel Entertainment has made a massive entertainment empire that spans big and small screens. Still, fans continue to bemoan the separation of Marvel’s TV ventures from its big-time blockbusters. Audiences have asked time and again for shows like Agents of SHIELD to have more tie-ins with MCU films. And, if one star had its their way, then Agents of SHIELD would get at least one epic crossover episode to suit those fans’ wishes.

Recently, Agent Coulson himself went to Reddit to answers questions on an AMA thread. Actor Clark Gregg talked about his tenure with the MCU, and it was there a fan asked what is dream episode would be the show’s fifth season. And, as you can read below, Gregg has the best crossover idea for Agents of SHIELD:
“Dream storyline involves saving the Defenders and the Avengers and the Guardians and the Royal Family and everyone in Legion when they get themselves in trouble with Thanos. In a musical episode by Lin-Manuel Miranda,” Gregg explained.
If Agents of SHIELD were able to manage such a massive crossover, fans would be blown away by the spectacle. However, it does seem highly unlikely such a project could lift off; Just the scheduling logistics alone would be enough to make executives go nuts.
Still, it isn’t impossible to think Agents of SHIELD could delve into a musical episode. After all, it would not be the first superhero TV show to do such a thing. Earlier this year, The Flash and Supergirl joined forces to debut a joint musical crossover. The episode saw The Flash and Supergirl go head-to-head against the Music Meister, and their alternate selves had plenty of chances to show off their pipes.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all new time period, Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they’ve ever faced โ an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman, Lincoln Campbell.
