With each additional entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new story complete with new characters played by new cast members. Each movie and television property continues to grow the universe with upwards of sixty characters slated to appeared in the impending Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled Avengers 4.
Needless to say, there seems to always be a chance for aspiring actors and actresses to get on board a Marvel property. Former Community star Alison Brie is one of those that’s been trying to get on board, the actress revealed in a panel at ATX Festival (via EW).

“I’ve gone through auditions for Marvel movies and auditioned a million times for roles with three lines and you are begging for them,” Brie reflected. “And I’d be glad to get them! It’s brutal, it just is.”
Best known for her roles as Annie Edison it the NC sitcom Community and as Trudy Campbell in AMC’s Mad Men, Brie currently voices Diane Nguyen on BoJack Horseman, an animated show available exclusively on Netflix.
The interesting part of Brie’s revelation is timing in proximity to Infinity War. Prior to directing box office blockbusters for Marvel Studios, brothers Joe and Anthony Russo were a big part of the development of Community, credited as executive producers for the show’s first three seasons in addition directing dozens of episodes.
The brothers have previously admitted to a running gag in which they put former Community cast members in their scripts, starting with Danny Pudi playing a SHIELD agent in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Jim Rash then appeared as an MIT liaison in Captain America: Civil War.
It should be noted that Donald Glover has broken the cameo streak by landing himself a larger role in Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming.
